| - 1) Molekulární organizace rostlinného genomu a chromozomů a mechanismus exprese genů: sekvenování repetitivní DNA genomu vikvovitých rostlin, genetické a fyzikální mapování; funkční genomika, transgenoze a molekulární biodiverzita lnu, chmele Arabidopsis; analýza struktury a funkce chimerických buněčných RNA, aberantních RNA a dsRNA ve vztahu k expresi genů; transformace genomu a plastomu za účelem studia exprese jaderných genů, funkce fotosystému II a produkce cizorodých proteinů, 2) Molekulární interakce rostlina-patogen: variabilita genomu, struktura a funkce virů, viroidů a fytoplazem; mechanismus umlčování genů a %22antisensing%22; vývoj vysoce výkonných detekčních metod patogenů, 3) Výzkum fotosyntézy: primární procesy přenosu světelné energie do energetických a chemických vazeb; struktura a funkce reakčních center komplexu fotosystému II; výměna plynů a efekt fixace oxidu uhličitého na regulaci fotosyntézy.

| - Novel knowledge about plant genome organization, structure and function of selected virus, viroid and other pathogens, and photosynthesis molecular processes were gained. New traits of plant nucleases with anticancer potential were reported and original bioassay for antiviral agents were developed. The knowledge will be used, e.g., in phytosanitary and for development of new anticancer products. (en)
- Byly získány originální poznatky o organizaci rostlinného genomu, struktuře a funkci vybraných virových, viroidních aj. patogenů a o procesech probíhajících během fotosyntézy. Byly popsány vlastnosti rostlinných nukleáz s protirakovinným potenciálem a vyvinuta nová metoda testování účinků protivirových látek. Nové poznatky budou využity mj. v rostlinolékařství a vývoji protirakovinných preparátů. (cs)
