Description
  • Nanoscience aims at emloying complementary nanotechnologies to study and modify properties of nanometer scale objects. Significantly attractive feature of this scale is an increasing influence of quantum phenomena. The proposed research will be concentrated on the five principal topics: Structural, electronic and spectroscopic properties on the atomic scale. Nanoclusters and their characterisation. Nanolithography with the application of SPM methods. Macroscopic characterisation of samples. Theory of electronic structure of atoms and clusters adsorbed and technologicaly important surfaces. Structural and topographic studies of surfaces on the nanoscale will be combined with spectroscopic data giving the information about the local physical parameters connected with local density of states, electrical conductivity, electroluminiscence, surface diffusion doeficient, variation of the surface barrier and photovoltaic properties. Theses features will be treated theoretically as well. (en)
  • Nanověda aplikuje různé nanotechnologické postupy tak, aby mohla modifikovat a následně studovat vlastnosti nanoobjektů. Zvláště přitažlivé v těchto rozměrech je uplatňování se kvantových jevů. Navrhovaný výzkum bude koncentrován do 5ti oblastí: strukturní, elektronové a spektroskopické vlasnosti na atomární úrovni. Charakterizace nanoklastrů. Nanolitografie se SPM. Makroskopická a topografická data budou kombinována s lokální spektroskopií elektrické vodivosti, elektroluminiscencen, lokální hustoty stavů, difuze, výstupní práce a fotovoltaických jevů. Tyto fyzikkální vlastnosti budou rovněž studovány teoreticky.
