R3-COP will provide European industry with new leading-edge methodology and technologies that will enable the production of advanced robust and safe cognitive, reasoning autonomous and cooperative robotic systems at reduced cost in terms of time and money and open a market which is at the moment very fragmented and still in the research and prototype phase, but will be one of the larger markets for embedded intelligence and systems in the upcoming years and of future strategic importance (ARTEMIS SRA 2010 Summer Camp June 2009). R3-COP is clearly targeting at this future embedded systems domain and thus is fully in line with ARTEMIS objectives (application relevance and impact). (en)
