Description	In this paper we have analyzed epigenetic patterns of ribosomal rRNA genes (rDNA) in Tragopogon allotetraploids of recent and recurrent origin. We found that expression of parental rRNA genes differ between the populations. In most populations we observed an inverse correlation between the gene copy number and transcription activity.
