Site-specific weed control assumes the herbicide application on such parts of field where the predefined threshold of weed infestation is exceeded. This allows reduction of herbicide application, diminishing of the environmental contamination and minimizing the risk of the plant injury. Weed control is based on the economic damage thresholds and dynamics of weed populations in following years is not considered. Increase of weed infestation after treatment cannot be refused. This project is targeted on the validation of patch-spraying method applied in rotations of the most important crops and optimizing of application thresholds used in this system. Patch-spraying method based on predefined thresholds will be tested in different crop rotations on the separate trial fields. Impact of patch spraying on the crop yield and on the dynamics of weed populations will be evaluated during four years. The thresholds that will not cause an increase of weed infestation in following years will be defined. (en)
