| Description
| - The activities will be aimed at theoretical and experimental research in perspective ways of electric energy conversion applicable to modern drives, generators, apparatus, and other technological equipments. The problems of interactions among electromagnetic, mechanical, thermal, and other systems and their control structures as well as their working media will be solved simultaneously in quasi- and hard coupled formulations with respect to parameters and characteristics of individual parts of the whole system. Principles of non-linear dynamics will be applied to determine the system characteristics. We will also analyze the influence of unfavourable accompanying effects on the efficiency of processes, on the reliability of devices and the environmental aspects and will search ways of their elimination. The result will be a complex methodology of solution and optimization of energy conversion processes leading to their deeper understanding and to utilization in particular applications. (en)
- Předmětem řešení bude teoretický a experimentální výzkum v oblasti perspektivních způsobů konverze elektrické energie využitelných pro moderní pohonné, generátorické, přístrojové a jiné technologické celky. Problematika součinnosti elektromagnetických, mechanických, tepelných a dalších systémů a jejich řídicích struktur a pracovních médií bude řešena simultánně v kvazi- a silně sdružených formulacích při respektování parametrů a charakteristik dílčích prvků celého systému. Pro určení charakteristik systémů budou aplikovány principy nelineární dynamiky. Současně budou analyzovány vlivy nepříznivých doprovodných jevů s ohledem na účinnost procesů, spolehlivost zařízení a ekologické aspekty a hledány možnosti eliminace těchto jevů. Výstupem bude komplexní metodika řešení a optimalizace energetických procesů vedoucí k jejich hlubšímu poznání i přímému využití v konkrétních aplikacích.

| - The important theoretical and experimental results have been attained in the domains of the new circuit topologies as well as control strategies of electronic power systems, and of the stability of the thermal plasma and measurement systems for its optical detection. - Byly získány významné teoretické i experimentální výsledky v oblastech nových obvodových topologií i řídících strategií výkonových elektronických systémů, stability termického plazmatu a měřících systémů umožňujících jeho optické snímání. Byly vypracovány matematické modely složitých sdružených úloh a originální numerické postupy pro jejich řešení. (cs)
