Description	A new diagnostic method to evaluate thermal plasma temperature is investigated. This method in principle consist of using the relative and absolute dependences on temperature of the emitted plasma radiation in various spectral regions. The technique needs a preliminary study to calculate these relations and we present the basis of these calculations. This methos is applied to argon plasma at atmospheric pressure and can be performed using eithera 3-colour camera or a low resolution spectrometer. Základ metody spočívá v použití relativních a absolutních teplotních závislostí záření plazmatu emitovaného v různých spektrálních oblastech. Metoda vyžaduje předběžné výpočty těchto relací a v článku je prezentována podstata těchto výpočtů. Tato metoda je aplikována na argonové plazma za atmosférického tlaku, kde může být použita při experimentech využívajících buď barevné kamery nebo spektrometru s nízkým rozlišením. (cs)
