  • Morphology and fine structure of Barbus barbus L 1758 spermatozoa was studied using scanning (SEM) and transmission (TEM) electron microscopy. The results showed that spermatozoa have no acrosome, like all teleost fishes and is differentiated into a head, a midpiece and a flagellum with the typical ?9 + 2? pairs of microtubules. Both dynein arms are present in flagellum. The spermatozoa have spherical nucleus, 4 to 6 mitochondria located in postnuclear cytoplasmic region and centriolar complex (proximal and distal centrioles). Total length, head width, length of midpiece and length of flagellum were measured to be 56.35 ? 7.42, 1.80 ? 0.06, 0.48 ? 0.14 and 54.30 ? 6.97 µm, respectively. Highly significant linear correlations were observed between posterior and anterior width of midpiece (P < 0.01).   • Morfologie a detailní struktura spermie Barbus barbus L 1758 byla studována pomocí skenovacího (SEM) a transmisního (TEM) elektronového mikroskopu. Výsledky, že spermie neměli akrosom, tak jako všechny kostnaté ryby, a diferencuje se na hlavičku, střední oddíl a bičík s typickým uspořádáním mikrotubulů ?9+2?. Obě dyneínová raménka jsou přítomny v bičíku. Spermie mají kulaté jádro, 4 až 6 mitochondrií lokalizovaných v postnukleární cytoplasmatické oblasti a centriolární komplex (proximální a distální centriolu). Celková délka, šířka hlavičky, délka středního oddílu a délka bičíku byla 56.35 ? 7.42, 1.80 ? 0.06, 0.48 ? 0.14 a 54.30 ? 6.97 µm. Vysoce signifikantní lineární kerelace byly objeveny mezi posteriorní a anteriorní šířkou středního oddílu (P < 0.01). PCA byla užita k nalezení, které parametry mohou vysvětlit individuální variabilitu morfologie spermíí. 43.98 % (cs)
