Description	We have identified several lectin-like proteins in the recently sequenced genome of A. fumigatus. One of them has been characterized. The recombinant protein binding activities were determined by hemagglutination studies, glycan-array, surface plasmon resonance and isothermal titration calorimetry. The X-ray structure of AFL with histo-blood groups A, Lewis Y and a mixture of fucosylated disaccharides revealed different properties of individual binding sites of the lectin.
