| Description
| - Risk factors of atherosclerosis will be intestigated in a prospective and retrospective cohort of cancer patients (breast cancer, colorectal carcinoma). Indicators of lipid metabolism will be investigated along with indicators of systemic inflammatory response and antioxidative balance. Morphological parameter of atherosclerosis - intima-media thickness and myocardial exercise perfusion scan will also be evaluated. Correlation of clinical, laboratory and morphological changes will be investigated during the therapy. The results will form a basis for intervention of atherosclerosis risk factors in cancer patients. (en)
- Rizikové faktory aterosklerózy budou sledovány u retrospektivního a prospektivního souboru nemocných s nádorovým onemocněním (karcinom prsu, kolorektální karcinom). Budou sledovány ukazatele lipidového metabolismu, systémové zánětlivé odpovědi a antioxidační rovnováhy. Současně budou vyhodnoceny morfologické parametry aterosklerózy - šířka intimy-medie karotid a zátěžový perfuzní scan myokardu. Bude hodnocena korelace klinických, laboratorních a morfologických změn u nemocných po proběhlé léčbě a sledování dynamiky změn v průběhu nádorového onemocnění a léčby. Výsledky se stanou podkladem pro možnou intervenci rizikových faktorů aterosklerózy u nemocných s nádory.

| - It was demonstrated that the prevalence of risk factors of atherosclerosis is high in cancer patients, and these parametrs should be followed in this population. Significant changes of parametrs of inflammatory response were observed during therapy. (en)
- V projektu bylo prokázáno, že výskyt rizikových faktorů aterosklerózy u nemocných s nádory je vysoký a tyto parametry je nutno v této populaci bedlivě sledovat. Během léčby dochází k významným změnám parametrů rizika aterosklerózy i zánětlivé odpovědi. (cs)
