Description
| - During last decades and specifically several last years we observe growing frequency of disorders caused by abnormal regulation of immune mechanisms. The occurrence of such diseases boosts with astonishing speed. These conditions, that comprise allergies, autoimmune diseases and other entities including tumors, represent serious medical and social problem. Despite enormous research effort the underlying pathology in immune reactions and regulation was not yet elucidated. Current research project was designed to study etiology and pathogenesis of some immune mediated diseases, with the aim to contribute to the cumulative knowledge pertaining to the disrupted immune regulation. Such project requires multidisciplinary approach. - V poslední době závratně stoupá výskyt onemocnění, která jsou způsobena poruchou regulace imunitních mechanismů. Do okruhu těchto chorob patří onemocnění alergická, autoimunitní a další, včetně nádorových. Přes výrazný pokrok základního výzkumu jsou patogenetické příčiny a zásahová místa poruch regulace u většiny onemocnění stále nejasné. Cílem navrhovaného projektu je přispět k objasnění etiologie a patogeneze mechanismů některých závažných chorob, což umožní zlepšit diagnózu a vyvinout nové typy cílených zásahů do regulačních mechanismů, které by mohly přispět k prevenci a léčbě těchto nemocí. Projekt vyžaduje interdisciplinární přístup a předpokládá proto intenzivní spolupráci doktorandů z universitních pracovišť UK (l.LF, 2. LF, PřF) a z Akademie věd ČR (Mikrobiologický ústav a Ústav molekulární genetiky).
