Description
  • The novel antitumor platinum drug BBR3464 forms on DNA intrastrand adducts which change its local conformation in a way that they do not induce a stable curvature. These intrastrand adducts are not recognized by HMG domain proteins, but they are effectively removed from DNA by nucleotide excision repair. It has been concluded that the processing of these adducts in tumor cells may not be relevant to the antitumor effect of BBR3464
