Description
  • The principal demand on the electromagnetic emergency brake in rail vehicles is to produce the maximum drag force at the lowest field current and highest efficiency. This may be reached only by high-level optimization of its magnetic circuit and arrangement of the field coils. The paper presents the complete solution of the problem. The first part is aimed at a more detailed specification of the technical problem with respect to the principal requirements and limitations concerning technical aspects of the device. The next step is aimed at forming the mathematical FEM model. The main part of the paper contains a typical example in several variants with results accompanied by discussion. Properties of the suggested solution are compared with the characteristics of the up to now manufactured device that was designed by the classic method based on solution of discrete magnetic circuits. The final part deals with possibilities of further improvement of these types of magnetic brakes.

  • Hlavním požadavkem na elektromagnetickou brzdu v kolejových vozidlech je vytvořit maximální brzdnou sílu při co nejnižším budicím proudu a vysoké účinnosti. Toho lze dosáhnout jen optimalizací magnetického obvodu a uspořádáním budicích cívek. Příspěvek obsahuje úplné řešení problému. Jeho první část je zaměřena na podrobnou specifikaci úlohy s ohledem na základní požadavky a na limitující aspekty zařízení. V dalším kroku je formulován matematický model, jenž je řešen metodou konečných prvků. Hlavní část příspěvku je věnována řešení řady variant s ilustrativními výsledky a jejich diskusi. Vlastnosti navrženého řešení jsou porovnány s charakteristikami doposud vyráběné brzdy, jež byla navržena klasickou metodou založenou na diskrétních magnetických obvodech. Závěrečná část se zabývá možnostmi dalšího zdokonalení tohoto typu brzdy. (cs)
