  • Již po dvě nebo tři dekády existují patrné tendence ke snižování energie dopadu elektronů a ke zvyšování tlaku plynů v okolí preparátu, avšak doposud z této oblasti přicházejí náměty nejen pro průmyslový, ale i pro akademický výzkum. Hlavním zdrojem motivace k tomuto trendu je obecný zájem pozorovat vzorky živé hmoty ve stavu tak málo změněném, jak je jen možné, a totéž platí pro moderní materiály s nízkou vodivostí. Jakožto úvod ke kongresové sekci věnované tomuto tématu si krátce všimněme nejdůležitějších problémů přitahujících pozornost v tomto okamžiku (cs)
  • Trends towards lowering the impact energy of electrons and increasing the gas pressure in the specimen vicinity have already been apparent for two or three decades, but still keep providing goals for both industrial and even academic research. The main motivation for this comes from the common interest in observing biostructures in a state as little altered as possible, and the same also holds true for modern less conductive materials.
