Description
  • The properties of electrophoretic moving boundaries were studied in systems containing multivalent weak electrolytes where the Kohlrausch regulating law is not valid. It was shown that zones of unexpected properties can be formed in such systems and that the adjusted concentrations in these zones cannot be predicted using present knowledge. A theoretical approach to the properties of such “non-Kohlrausch” systems was presented that allows the explanation and prediction of their properties: their adjusted concentrations are function of the composition of both zones that formed the original boundary. The theory is illustrated and verified by both computer simulations and experiments.

  • Byly studovány vlastnosti elektroforetických rozhraní v systémech tvořených vícesytnými slabými elektrolyty, ve kterých neplatí Kohlrauschův regulační princip. Bylo ukázáno, že v takových systémech mohou vznikat zóny, jejichž vlastnosti a složení nelze vysvětlit na základě dosud používaných principů. Byl vypracován teoretický model umožňující předpovídat vlastnosti zón a rozhraní v takovýchto “nekohlrauschovských” systémech, kdy vlastnosti nově vytvořené adjustované zóny jsou funkcí vlastností obou původních zón, mezi kterými se nová zóna vytvořila. Počítačové simulace a experimenty pro vybrané modelové systémy jsou v souladu s předloženou teorií. (cs)
