  • Based on our two completely independent efficient in-house 3D Fourier modal method (FMM) algorithms, based on either aperiodic rigorous coupled wave analysis or bi-directional mode expansion and propagation techniques, we have concentrated on investigation of several novel guided-wave plasmonic nanostructure designs, including some alternatives of dielectric-loaded plasmonic and / or subwavelength-structured nanoguides, exhibiting promising trade-offs between confinement and propagation properties, represent thus promising building blocks for future plasmonic devices.
