Description	Melatonin aplikovaný přímo k suprachiasmatickému jádru (SCN) v organotypické kultuře na sklonku dne vyvolává předběhnutí cirkadiálního rytmu měřeného jako sekrece arginin vasopressinu (AVP). Je-li aplikován pozdě v noci nebo časně ráno, melatonin vyvolává zpoždění rytmu. Spontánní výlev neuropřenašeče GABA, který působí na postsynaptických GABAA receptorech se nemění během dne a noci, ale citlivost k zinku u odpovědí vyvolaných exogenní aplikací GABA vykazuje cirkadiální rytmus. Znamená to, že existuje cirkadiální rytmus v postsynaptické, ale ne presynaptické, funkci SCN (cs) Melatonin applied directly to the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) in organotypic slices at late day induces a phase advance of circadian rhythm measured as a secretion of arginine vasopressin (AVP). When applied at late night or at the beginning of the day melatonin causes a phase delay.
