  • Získali jsme spektroskopická a fotometrická data těsných dvojhvězdných systémů BPM 71214 a EC 13471-1258 a určili jsme jejich orbitální parametry. Světelné křivky ukazují elipsoidální změny obou systémů a EC 13471-1258 je navíc zákrytová dvojhvězda. Spektroskopické a fotometrické modelování ukazuje, že sekundární složky obou systémů vyplňují Rocheovskou mez a mělo by tedy docházet k přenosu hmoty na jejich průvodce. BPM 71214 a EC 13471-1258 jsou možné hibernující novy. (cs)
  • We have obtained spectroscopic and photometric measurements of the close DA plus dMe binaries BPM 71214 and EC 13471-1258, and established their orbital parameters. The light curves show the presence of ellipsoidal variations in both systems with EC 13471-1258 also being an eclipsing binary. Detailed modeling of the spectroscopic and photometric data results shows that the red dwarfs in both systems are nearly filling their Roche lobes. Because there is no evidence of mass transfer in the systems, we conclude that BPM 71214 and EC 13471-1258 are possibly hibernating novae.
