  • One of the typical responses in acclimation of the photosynthetic apparatus of higher plants to high irradiance is increase of the capacity for non-radiative dissipation of absorbed light energy that is associated with enhanced ability to de-epoxidize xanthophyll cycle pigments. This acclimation response represents a key protective process for Norway spruce. We studied dynamics of changes in the pigment composition and utilization of absorbed light energy in photosystem II during short-term acclimation (10 days) of Norway spruce to excess irradiance.

  • Jednou z typických odpovědí při aklimaci fotosyntetického aparátu vyšších rostlin na vysokou ozářenost je nárůst kapacity nezářivé disipace aborbované energie, která je spojena se zlepšením schopnosti deepoxidace pigmentů xantofylového cyklu. Pro smrk ztepilý představuje tato aklimační odezva klíčový ochranný proces. Studovali jsme dynamiku změn obsahu pigmentů a využití absorbované energie ve fotosystému II během krátkodobé aklimace (10 dnů) smrku na nadměrnou ozářenost. (cs)
