  • Nové alkylované a nealkylované quinquethiofeny byly připraveny Stille coupling reakcí bis(5-bromo-2-thienyl)thieno[3,4-c][2,1,3]thiadiazolu (TBr) a 2-(tributylstannyl)-thiofenu. Tyto látky vykazují absorpční maximum okolo 700 nm v roztoku a 750 nm v tenkých filmech. Dibrom derivát TBr byl dále použit jako strukturní blok v syntéze %22low-band-gap%22 kopolymerů s fluorenovými strukturními jednotkami. (cs)
