Description
  • A powerful polymer ligand for sensitized terbium luminescence with quinolinone fluorophore and carboxy groups as binding sites was synthesized and investigated by steady-state and time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy. By comparison with low-molecular-weight ligands bearing the same fluorophore and carboxy group, it was concluded that macromolecular structure, in spite of its oligomeric size, plays a crucial steric role (polymer effect) in the ligand-to-metal energy-transfer process. The steady-state and time-resolved luminescence data were found to be in good agreement. Finally, it should be pointed out that in all experiments we kept the fluorophore concentration as low as possible to be able to exclude the complex formation with two fluorophore units.

  • Byl syntetizován účinný polymerní ligand (donor) pro senzitizovanou luminiscenci terbia obsahující chinolinonový fluorofor a karboxylové vazebné skupiny a tento ligand byl studován pomocí stacionární a časově rozlišené fluorescenční spektroskopie. Srovnáním s nízkomolekulárním ligandem nesoucím stejné vazebné skupiny a fluorofor bylo zjištěno, že makromolekulární struktura přes její oligomerní rozměr hraje kritickou roli (polymerní efekt) při přenosu energie z ligand na kov. Data ze stacionární a časově rozlišené fluorescence byla v dobrém souhlase. Koncentrace fluoroforu na polymerním liganu byla nízká, aby se omezila možnost tvorby komplexu se dvěma fluoroforními jednotkami, což by vedlo na snížení přenosu energie. (cs)
