Description
  • Cílem studie bylo otestovat potenciál AM hub a biodegradabilního chelátu EDDS pro fytoextrakci olova dvěma kultivary tabáku. Aplikace chelátu významně zvýšila příjem Pb ze substrátu a jeho translokaci do nadzemní biomasy tabáku, aniž by potlačila rozvoj mykorhizní symbiozy. Konsistentní rozdíly v příjmu olova mezi transgenními a netransgenními kultivary tabáku nebyly zjištěny. Inokulace AM houbami podpořila růst rostlin v kontaminované půdě a částečně zmírnila negativní vliv Pb, zejména v případě biomasy kořenů. Dále vedla ke zvýšení koncentrací Pb v kořenech rostlin, pravděpodobně díky retenci kovu na myceliu AM hub. Potenciál AM symbiozy pro fytoremediaci ploch kontaminovaných olovem tudíž spočívá spíše ve fytostabilizaci než fytoextrakci. (cs)
  • The study was conducted to assess the potential of AM fungi fungi and a biodegradable chelate EDDS for lead phytoextraction by two tobacco cultivars. Application of the chelate considerably increased Pb uptake by tobacco plants from the substrate as well as Pb translocation to shoot biomass, without having a negative effect on AM mycorrhiza development. AM inoculation promoted the growth of tobacco plants and partly alleviated the negative effect of Pb contamination, mainly in the case of root biomass. No consistent difference in Pb uptake was found between transgenic and non-transgenic tobacco plants with respect to Pb uptake. AM inoculation led to high Pb concentrations in plant roots, probably due to metal retention on the mycelium of AM fungi. Therefore, the potential of AM for phytoremediation resides rather in Pb stabilisation than in phytoextraction.
