  • Der neue ligand 3,6-bis(2-pyrazinyl)-1,2,4,5-tetrazin wurde synthetisiert, strukturell charakterisiert und mit Re(CO)5Cl zum zweikernkomplex [(.mu.-bpztz) {Re(CO)3Cl)2] umgesetzt. Die kristallstrukturanalyse zeigt für jedes der metall-atome eine fac-tricarbonyl-anordnung sowie die koordination an ein tatrazin.stickstoffatom und an N1 des pyrazins. Die pyrazin-N4-atome bleiben unkoordiniert. Bezüglich der Brückenligand-ebene sind die chloridliganden syn-ständig, im gedensatz zu dem verwandten komplex[(.mu.-abpy) {Re(CO)3Cl}2] (abpy = 2,2'-azobispyridin).
  • The new ligand 3,6-bis(2-pyrazinyl)-1,2,4,5-tetrazine (bpztz) was synthesized, structurally characterized and reacted with Re(CO)(5)Cl to the dinuclear [(mu-bpztz){Re(CO)(3)Cl}(2)]. Crystal structure analysis exhibits a fac-tricarbonyl arrangement and the coordination of each metal atom by one nitrogen atom from the tetrazine ring and by N-1 of pyrazine. The N-4 atoms of the pyrazine rings remain free. The chloride ligands adopt a syn-position relative to the central ligand plane, in contrast to the related complex [(mu-abpy)Re(CO)(3)Cl}(2)] (abpy = 2,2''-azobispyridine). Reversible reduction to the IR and ESR spectroelectrochemially detectable [(mu-bpztz){Re(CO)(3)Cl}(2)](.-) occurs at a potential of -0.31 V vs. ferrocene. (en)
