Description	A new nematode species, Spirophilometra pacifica sp. n. (Philometridae) is described from gravid female specimens collected from the mouth cavity of Centropomus robalito (Centropomidae, Perciformes) from Chiapas, the pacific coast of Mexico. The species is characterized by the presence of minute cuticular spines on the body surface, 14 cephalic papillae arranged in two circlets, and two small lateral papilla-like caudal projections. Philometra centropomi Caballero, 1974 is transferred to Spirophilometra. A new nematode species, Spirophilometra pacifica sp. n. (Philometridae) is described from gravid female specimens collected from the mouth cavity of Centropomus robalito (Centropomidae, Perciformes) from Chiapas, the pacific coast of Mexico. (Philometridae). Tento druh je charakterizován přítomností drobných kutikulárních ostnů na povrch těla, 14 hlavovými papilami uspořádanými do dvou kroužků a dvěma malými laterálními papilovitými kaudálními výrustky. Dru původně popsaný jako Philometra centropomi Caballero, 1974 je převeden do rodu Spirophilometra. (cs)
