Description	Tannic acid in the diet (1.5-5%) increases dramatically the oxidative stress and causes protein carbonylation in the foregut tissue. An enhancement of antioxidant defence in the midgut apparently prevents damage to this gut compartment. It is proposed that the burst of oxidative radicals in the foregut and their scavenging in the midgut is a controlled process inherent to the gut function. (en) Třísloviny v potravě (1,5-5%) dramaticky zvyšují oxidační zátěž a způsobují poškození bílkovin v tkáni předního střeva. Střednímu střevu nehrozí poškození protože se v něm podstatně zvyšuje intenzita eliminace kyslíkových radikálů. Předpokládá se, že vysoká tvorba radikálů v předním a jejich odstranění ve středního střevě jsou řízené procesy, které jsou součástí fungování zažívací soustavy. (cs)
