Description	Samci krátkokřídlé morfy ploštice P. apterus vykazují téměř 2-týdenní vyšší úspěšnost páření ve srovnání se samci dlouhokřídlé morfy. Úspěšnost páření samců obou křídelních morf se mění s jejich věkem a rozdíly v úspěšnosti v páření samců těchto dvou křídelních morf jsou podmíněny velikostí jejich přídatných žláze a řízeny juvenilním hormonem. Jde o první důkaz endokrinní regulace rozdílů v úspěšnosti páření samců dvou křídelních morf a jejich vztah ke zrání přídatných žláz u samců pterygomorfního hmyzu. (cs) There is almost 2-week-long mating advantage of short-winged males over to long-winged males in the flightless bug, P. apterus. The mating success of long- and short-winged males is age dependent, and wing morph-related mating success and the size of accessory glands are related and under the control of juvenile hormone. This is the first report of endocrine control of wing morph-related differences in mating success and its relation to the maturation rate of accessory glands in male of wing-polymorphic insects. There is almost 2-week-long mating advantage of short-winged males over to long-winged males in the flightless bug, P. apterus. The mating success of long- and short-winged males is age dependent, and wing morph-related mating success and the size of accessory glands are related and under the control of juvenile hormone.
