Description	In 4-14 day old adult males of P. apterus, the sizes of the endocrine gland corpus allatum and the reproductive accessory glands were the largest in reproductive brachypter, intermediate in macropters and smallest in diapausing brachypters. There was a significant positive correlation between the sizes of the corpus allatum and accessory glands in macropterous and diapausing brachypterous males. This is the first report of corpus allatum-dependent wing morph-related differences in the rate of accessory gland maturation in males of insects with a non-functional macropterism. In 4-14 day old adult males of P. apterus, the sizes of the endocrine gland corpus allatum and the reproductive accessory glands were the largest in reproductive brachypter, intermediate in macropters and smallest in diapausing brachypters. (en) U 4-14 dní starých dospělých samců ploštice P. apterus byly endokrinní žláza corpus allatum a reprodukční přídatné žlázy největší u reprodukčních brachypter, středně velké u makropter a nejmenší u diapausních brachypter. U makropterních a diapauzních brachypterních samců byla zjištěna signifikantní pozitivní korelace mezi velikostí corpus allatum and přídatných žláz. Jde o první zjištění, že rozdíly v rychlosti zrání přídatných žláz u samců dvou křídelních morf jsou u druhu hmyzu s nefunkčním makropterismem závislé na velikosti endokrinní žlázy corpus allatum.
