Description
  • Enzyme laccase from white rot fungi Trametes versicolor (T. v.) and Pycnoporus cinnabarinus (P. c.), a multi-copper enzyme catalyzing the oxidation of p-diphenols, was immobilized among others on magnetic macroporous bead cellulose with activity 0.22 I.U./ml (random immobilization) and 0.63I.U./ml (oriented immobilization) of settled carrier respectively. The oxidation activity of carriers was estimated by syringaldazine and 2,2-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) diammonium salt. The highest enzyme activity of reactors where the enzyme molecules were immobilized through carbohydrate moieties has confirmed the distinct advantage of oriented immobilization.
