| - Rod Pseudomonas je široce rozšířen v prostředí a bývá častým izolátem lidského a veterinárního klinického materiálu. Pseudomonády vykazují četné rezistence na antibiotika a chemické látky a jsou schopny tvořit biofilm s nebezpečím kolonizace sliznice a tkání. Jejich význam spočívá v potenciálu enzymatických drah a v působení v geochemických cyklech a při biodegradacích. Pseudomonas sendu stricto v současnosti zahrnuje více než 100 platně popsaných druhů. Identifikace je často komplikovaná vzhledem k heterogenitě a genetické variabilitě uvnitř rodu. Taxonomie pseudomonád prodělává velký vývoj. Hmotnostní spektrometrie s laserovou desorpcí a ionizací za účasti matrice s měřením délky letu (Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time of flight mass spectrometry)je analytická technika, která identifikuje protein/peptidové markery bakteriálního proteomu. Metoda byla úspěšně aplikovaná u příbuzných rodů a je schopna rozeznat příbuzné mikroorganismy, které jsou neodlišitelné genotypizačními metodami a b (cs)

Pseudomonads are often resistant to antibiotics and chemicals and take part in structure of biofilms with the posibility of colonization of different mucosa and tissue. They are responsible for nosocomial and systemic infections. Their importance lies in the potencial of enzymatic ways of biodegradation and geochemical cycles too. The genus Pseudomonas sensu stricto comprises more than hundered validly described species and subspecies, at the present. Classification of environmental isolates is often complicated due to the heterogeneity and genetic variability of the species. The evolving taxonomy of the genus is in great progress now. Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time of flight mass spectrometry is an analytical technic, which identifies specific markers of the bacterial proteome.
