  • The behaviour of cyprinids belonging to different ecology groups (rheophilous, eurytopic) were observed below a weir that was restricting their upstream migrations during the spawning period May– July. Positions of chub Leuciscus cephalus (L.), Prussian carp Carrasius auratus gibelio (Bloch 1783), bream Abramis brama (L.) and white bream Blicca bjoerkna (L.) were recorded using an automatic data logger (ALS) in the upper Elbe River, Czech Republic. For all observed species, two activity peaks occurred; however, the interspecies timing of these peaks differed. Peak times for chub, bream and white bream occurred at night and during daylight, whereas Prussian carp was active mostly at night. Specimens of the rheophilous group suggested more efficient behavioural tactics in passing the weir than did eurytopic species.

  • Na horním toku řeky Labe v České republice bylo sledováno chování kaprovitých ryb náležejících k různým ekologickým skupinám (reofilní, eurytopní) pod zdymadlem, které omezovalo jejich migraci proti proudu v době tření, tj. během května a června. Pozice ryb druhů jelec tloušť Leuciscus cephalus (L.), karas stříbřitý Carrasius auratus gibelio (Bloch 1783), cejn velký Abramis brama (L.) a cejnek malý Blicca bjoerkna (L.) byly zaznamenávány automatickou měřicí ústřednou ALS. U všech sledovaných druhů byla zjištěna 2 maxima aktivity; načasování těchto maxim se u jednotlivých druhů lišilo. Maximální aktivita se u jelce, cejna a cejnka objevovala v noci i za denního světla, zatímco karas byl aktivní zejména v noci. Druhy náležející do skupiny reofilních ryb vykazovaly účinnější behaviorální taktiku při překonávání zdymadla, než eurytopní karas stříbřitý. (cs)
