Description	Geographic variation in body shape within and between two closely-related tree frog species Hyla arborea and Hyla savignyi was investigated, and its relationships to macroclimatic conditions was tested. Regardless of their specific affiliation, the parapatric populations of both species from the eastern Mediterranean, where they occupy comparable habitats, are closer to each other in morphospace than to conspecific populations from distal regions. This local interspecific similarity is probably driven by the common response to environment, expressed here as macroclimatic conditions. Parapatrické populace ze srovnatelných biotopů z východního Mediteránu jsou bez ohledu na druhovou příslušnost vzájemně morfologicky podobnější než populace stejného druhu ze vzálenějších oblastí. Tato lokální mezidruhová podobnost je pravděpodobně dána shodnou reakcí na vliv prostředí chápaný zde jako vliv makroklimatických podmínek. (cs)
