Description	There is no noninvasive method, which could evaluate the degree of portal hypertension precisely. No factors predicting the response to the treatment with betablockers are known and for the evaluation of response, repeated HVPG measurement is necessary. In the group of 100 patients with liver cirrhosis the role of noninvasive parameters of hepatic fibrosis and inflammation in the evaluation of portal hypertension and treatment response to betablockers will be assessed. The role of metalloproteinases and beta2 adrenergic receptors gene polymorphisms for the evolution of portal hypertension complications and for the betablockers efficacy will be evaluated. The role of noninvasice cardiologic parameters for the progression of portal hypertension complications will be evaluated. (en) V současnosti neexistuje neinvazivní vyšetření, které by přesně zhodnotilo výši portální hypertenze při jaterní cirhóze. Nejsou známy prognostické faktory předpovídající odpověď na léčbu betablokátory. K hodnocení léčby portální hypertenze je nutné opakované invazivní vyšetření. Ve skupině 100 pacientů s jaterní cirhózo bude zhodnocen význam neinvazivních biochemických parametrů jaterní fibrózy a zánětu ve vztahu k výši portální hypertenze a k předpovědi účinnosti léčby betablokátory. Bude zhodnocen vliv polymorfismů metaloproteináz a beta2 receptorů vzhledem na rozvoj komplikací portální hypertenze a účinnosti léčby betablokátory. Bude posoutzen vztah neinvazivních kardiologických parametrů na rozvoj komplikací portální hypertenze.
