Potential additive effect of the treatment wirh endothelin receptor blocker (atrasentan) to low salt diet and renin-angiotensin system blockade in a rat model transenic for mouse renin gene and/or 5/6 nephrectomy will be studied. The aim is to further decrease the development of renal failure and cardiac hypertrophy. (en)

Progression of chronic kidney diseases is associated with marked intrarenal activation of the RAS and ET systém. Treatment with RAS and ET blockers attenuated the progression of chronic kidney disease. (en)
Progrese chronické renální insuficience je spojena s výraznou intrarenální aktivací renin-angiotenzinového a endothelinového systému. Kombinovaná blokáda RAS a ET vykazuje nejlepší výsledky ve zpomalení progrese CHRI. (cs)
