Description
  • Hepatitis C virus (HCV) related alteration of signalling pathways and proteins (Jak-Stat, ERK1/2, NF-kB, MAP, etc.) regulated/activated by interferon (IFN) may lead to resistance to IFN treatment of patients with HCV infection. HCV infection may cause alteration of expression of proteins related to process of inflammation and to process of inhibion of fibrogenesis (RXR, PPAR alpha, TGF beta 1, NF-kB, APO2, etc.) Analysis of significance of expression of these studied proteins and significance of staging of fibrosis in liver tissue of HCV patients for prediction of resistance to IFN treatment. (en)

  • The results only approximated stasistical significance, but proteins of STAT family and their inhibitors SOCS and PIAS probably play an important regulatory role during response to treatment of chronic HC. (en)
(cs)
