Description	The role of the c-erbB-2 oncogene in the development of hormone-independence and in the resistance to same types of therapeutics in prostate cancer will be studied. The aim of this project is to find the conditions which will indicate the probability o The modulatory effect of steroids, their antagonists and some potential chemotherapeutics, on the expression of c-erbB-2 and ozher markers involved in the control of androgen-dependence, cell cycle and apoptosis, will be studied simultaneously. The archival samples of prostate cancer and prostate cancer derived cell lines will be utilised in this project. The expression of the studied markers will be analysed by immunohistochemical and molecular methods. (en) Bude studována úloha onkogenu c-erbB-2 při vývoji hormonální nazávislosti a rezistence na některé typy terapeutik u karcinomů prostaty. Cílem bude zjistit, za jakých podmínek může znamenat nález nadměrné exprese nebo amplifikace c-erbB-2 pravděpodobnostv Zárověn bude studován modulační efekt steroidů, jejich antagonistů a některých perspektivních chemoterapeutik na expresi c-erbB-2 a dalších zanků zapojených do regulace androgenní nezávislosti, buněčného cyklu a apoptózy. Při řešení projektu budou použity archivní i čerstvé vzorky nádorů prostaty a prostatické buněčné linie. Exprese sledovaných znaků nude vyšetřována pomocí imunohistochemických a molekulárně biologických metod.
