Description	The research activity of the centre will be focused on the following fields: Materials-engineering problems connected with development and optimisation of non-conventional structural materials including evaluation of their reliability.New progressive procedures of steel production and processing by the secondary metallurgy technologies. Recycling and liquidation of technological waste to decrease of the ecological load of the landscape. Development of the methods and algorithmsfor measuring and controlling of technological processes, rationalisation and optimisation of the processes control by using non-conventional methods of artificial intelligence. Prediction of the energy and force parameters in high-speed forming anddevelopment of mathematical models to describe the deformation behaviour of new materials. Modernisation and optimisation of electric regulation drives in order to increase their economy and reliability in materials technologies. (en) Výzkumná aktivita centra bude orientována do následujících oblastí: Materiálově-inženýrské problémy spojené s vývojem a optimalizaci zpracováni nekonvenčních typů konstrukčních materiálů včetně hodnoceni jejich spolehlivosti. Nové progresivnípostupy výroby a zpracováni ocelí technologiemi sekundární metalurgie. Recyklace a likvidace technologických odpadů s ohledem na sníženi ekologické zátěže krajiny. Vývoj metod a algoritmů měřeni a řízení technologických pochodů, racionalizace aoptimalizace řízení s použitím nekonvečních metod umělé inteligence. Predikce energosilových parametrů při vysokorychlostním tvářeni a vývoj matematických modelů pro popis deformačního chovaní nových typů materiálů. Modernizace a optimalizaceelektrických regulačních pohonů z hlediska zvýšeni jejich hospodárnosti a spolehlivosti v materiálových technologiích. Vývoj nových strojírenských technologií a materiálů z oblasti práškové metalurgie, tvářeni, svařováni a povrchových úprav.
