Description
| - The goal of the project is basic research of nanostructured surfaces for electronic detection of biochemical interactions. The experience and know-how of the partner laboratories will open up a new research direction based on original methods for analysis of DNA and proteins combining nanotechnology, microfluidics and electrochemistry. The research of the nanostructures will be directed towards surface enhanced analytical performance using nanoporous substrates, magnetic particles and carbon nanotubes. Additionally, Au, Hg and/or amalgam modified surfaces will be used for preparation of self-assembled monolayers with electrochemical detection. The nanostructures will be utilized for immobilization of detection probes, testing of chemical interactions after the surface modification and for improvement of sensitivity and selectivity of detection. Applications will be focused on biosensors of DNA damage and on research of proteins important in neurodegenerative diseases and cancer. (en)
- Cílem projektu je základní výzkum nanostrukturovaných povrchů pro elektronickou detekci biochemických interakcí. Využijeme zkušeností a know-how laboratoří obou partnerů k otevření nového směru výzkumu založého na nových metodách analýzy DNA a bílkovin s využitím nanotechnologií, mikrofluidiky a elektrochemie. Příprava a charakterizace nanostruktur bude směrována pro generování povrchem zesíleného analytického signálu s využitím nanoporézních substrátů, magnetických nanočástic, a uhlíkových nanotrubiček. Dále bude využito samouspořádaných monovrstev s povrchem modifikovaným Au, Hg, nebo amalgámy pro elektrochemickou detekci. Tyto nanostruktury budou využity pro imobilizaci detekčních sond, prozkoumání vlivu povrchové úpravy na chemické interakce a ke zlepšení citlivosti a selektivity detekce. Použití bude orientováno především na biosenzory pro detekci poškození DNA a výzkum bílkovin důležitých při progresi neurodegenerativních chorob a rakoviny.
