Description
| - The development in chemistry of boron cluster compounds requires completing of the research of synthesis with studies supplying knowledge, which stimulate also utilization of synthesized compounds. Mass spectrometry and capillary electrophoresis may serve for this. Cognizance of both fragmentation mechanisms and of influence of experimental conditions on ionization of cluster compounds of various types will allow identification of both ionisable compounds and applicability of mass spectrometry for investigation of weak non-bonding interactions (complexations) of boron compounds. Electrophoretic research will lend first set of systematic knowledge on behavior of various cluster compound types in solution and on their interactions with selected solution constituents. This knowledge will serve for proposal of analytical methods and for interaction studies with tailored compounds including those inhibiting HIV protease. (en)
- Rozvoj chemie boru vyžaduje doplnění výzkumu syntéz navazujícími studiemi, jejichž poznatky budou stimulovat také výzkum využití syntetizovaných sloučenin. K tomu lze využít hmotnostní spektrometrie a kapilární elektroforézy. Znalost fragmentačních mechanismů i vlivu experimentálních podmínek na ionizaci různých typů klastrových sloučenin boru umožní zjistit které sloučeniny lze ionizovat a zda lze hmotnostní spektrometrie využít i ke studiu slabých nevazebných interakcí (komplexací) sloučenin boru. Elektroforetický výzkum poskytne první systematické poznatky o chování různých typů klastrových sloučenin boru v roztocích a o jejich interakcích s vybranými složkami roztoku. Tyto poznatky budou využity k návrhu analytických metod a k interakčním studiím s cíleně syntetizovanými sloučeninami boru včetně těch, které inhibují HIV proteázu.
