| Description
| - The ongoing discussion concerning quality in education concurrently addresses one of its central challenges - professionalisation of a teacher. The project aims to shed more light on the concept of expertise in the teaching profession. Firstly, an extensive survey of theoretical and research studies of expertise in the teaching profession will be carried out, then on the basis of its outcomes and on consideration the specifics of the Czech cultural context the project is going to develop, pilot and verify methods for the core of the project, i.e. research of the nature of teacher expertise, and in the next phase research of the processes and conditions of expertise development and maintenance. The results may provide information critical for reshaping and transforming pre-graduate as well as further teacher education, for setting the standards of quality in teaching and, last but not least, for raising the status of the teaching profession. - Jednou z klíčových výzev probíhající diskuse o kvalitě vzdělávání v kontextu edukačních změn je profesionalizace učitele. Projekt chce přispět k současnému stavu poznání kvality v profesi učitele výzkumem charakteristik učitele - experta. V první fázi bude realizována rozsáhlá teoretická přehledová studie, na základě jejích výstupů a s přihlédnutím k českému kulturnímu rámci budou v rámci projektu vypracovány, pilotovány a ověřeny metody identifikace a výzkumu učitelů - expertů. Vlastní výzkum pak bude zaměřen na prohloubení stavu poznání těchto charakteristik, v další fázi pak na determinanty procesů profesního rozvoje učitele - experta. Výstupy projektu mohou přinést zásadní informace pro transformaci přípravného i dalšího vzdělávání učitelů, pro tvorbu standardu kvality v profesi učitele a kariérní řád a, v neposlední řadě, mohou přispět ke zvýšení prestiže učitelské profese.
