Description
| - The aim of the project is the study of electron processes related to photogeneration and charge transport in molecular semiconductors. Electronic phenomena including creation of excitons, their diffusion and dissociation into free charge carriers and following transport will be studied by spectroscopic time resolved methods enabling the synchronous study of optical and electrical material response onto excitation by short (30 ps) laser pulse. Time resolved measurements will be supported by characterization of conductivity, luminescence and other parameters of thin layers. Results interpretation will be supported by quantum mechanical modeling of photogeneration and charge transport in studied materials. A proposal and syntheses of new organic semiconductors will be a significant part of the project. The goal of the project is the proposal and preparation of the thin layer molecular semiconductors systems which will be optimized with respect to the photogeneration yield and charge transport to be ready for application in organic photovoltaics. - Cílem projektu je studium elektronových procesů spojených s fotogenerací a transportem náboje v molekulárních polovodičích. Elektronové jevy zahrnující vytvoření excitonů, jejich difúzi a disociaci na volné nosiče náboje a následný transport náboje budou studovány s využitím časově rozlišených spektroskopických metod umožňujících současné studium optické a elektrické odezvy materiálů na excitaci krátkým (30 ps) laserovým pulsem. Časově rozlišená měření budou doplněna o charakterizaci vodivosti, fotovodivosti a dalších optických a elektrických parametrů tenkých vrstev. Interpretace experimentálních výsledků bude podpořena kvantově mechanickými modely fotogenerace a transportu náboje ve studovaných materiálech. Součástí projektu bude návrh a syntéza nových organických polovodičů.
