| Description
| - The aim of the project is the fundamental research and detailed analysis of tle corporate performance and firm efficiency of Czech firms. We will (a) use panel data on a complete population of medium and large firms that went through the mass privatization in the Czech Republic, (b) cover the period from the end of privatization to today, and (c) control for endogeneity of ownership. A more systematic analytical framework for evaluating the performance effect of post-privatization ownership and distinguishing between instantaneous and permanent effects of ownership changes will also be applied. Further, we will study the related issue whether, and to what extent, the firm management has a significant effect on firm efficiency. An aggregate analysis of financial flows between the key sectors will complement the fundamental microeconomic study. - Cílem projektu je základní výzkum a detailní aplikovaná analýza podnikové výkonnosti a firemní efektivity českých firem. V naší analýze (a) použijeme panelová data pro úplný soubor středních a velkých firem, které prošly velkou privatizací v České republice, (b) zahrneme období od konce privatizace do současnosti, (c) vezmeme v úvahu vliv endogenity vlastnictví. Rovněž aplikujeme systematičtější analytický přístup pro hodnocení dopadů poprivatizační vlastnické struktury na výkonnost a odlišení dočasných a trvalých vlivů změn ve vlastnické struktuře. Dále se budeme zabývat studiem související otázky, zda, a do jaké míry, má firemní management významný vliv na firemní efektivitu. Fundamentální makroekonomická studie bude zakončena agregátní analýzou finančních toků mezi klíčovými sektory ekonomiky.
