Description	The aim of this project is to get more pieces of information about the features and health state of the Great Moravian population in the 9th century. Characteristics will be evaluated which may inform about the state of living conditions and style ofliving of inhabitants. These characteristics are mostly linked with the load of human organism-either-of physiological or physical type, e.g. demographic indicators, sexual dimorphism, lateral bone asymmetry, appearance of cribra orbitalia (porotichyperostosis), Harris lines, enamel hypoplasia, denture varieties and health state, characteristics attributed to the locomotory apparatus (e.g. degenerative changes joints, entesopathy), size of osteoporotic changes, appearance of skeleton injuries,content of trace elements in bones, occurrence of morphological varieties. Characteristics will be evaluated with respect to the population group (burial ground), social stage of buried individuals (grave inventory), and the presumed socio-economic state (en) Cílem projektu je získat a rozšířit znalosti o vzhledu a zdravotním stavu populace jižní Moravy v 9. století. Hodnoceny budou znaky, které v různé míře vypovídají o stavu životních podmínek ve kterých obyvatelé Velké Moravy žili a o způsobu jejichživota. Jde o charakteristiky, které jsou zpravidla spojovány se zátěží lidského organismu, ať již fyziologického či fyzického charakteru. Jde například o demografické ukazatele, pohlavní dimorfismus, stranovou asymetrii kostí, výskyt cribra orbitalia(hyperostosis porotica), Harissových linií, hypoplasie skloviny, zdravotní stav a variety chrupu, znaky vypovídající o pohybovém aparátu (např. degenerativní změny kloubních spojení, entezopatie), rozsah osteoporotických změn, výskyt úrazových zranění,kostní obsah některých stopových prvků či výskyt morfologických variet. Hodnocena bude i molekulární genetická diverzita velkomoravské populace. Znaky budou vyhodnoceny s ohledem na populační skupinu (pohřebiště), na sociální příslušnost pochovaných
