| Description
| - The project is devoted to the study of various aspects of structures with low complexity. We focus on aperiodic structures connected with symbolic dynamical systems, non-standard numeration systems and mathematical models for quasicrystals. These structures are usually coded by infinite words over a finite alphabet.We shall study mainly the following questions:properties of r-iet words, i.e. infinite words associated to exchange of r intervals (substitution invariance, properties of morphisms preserving r-iet words, limits of r-iet words, enumeration of factors)non-standard numeration systems (asymptotic behavior of beta-integers, ambiguity of representations of integers in recurrently defined systems, palindromic numbers)factor complexity of „cut-and-project“ sequences arising by projection of higher-dimensional latticesThe project is based on long-standing collaboration of investigators with Université Paris 7, IML Marseille and CRM Montreal. Among our aims is also internationalization of education of doctoral and master students involved in the project. (en)
- Projekt se věnuje studiu různých aspektů struktur s nízkou komplexitou. Soustřeďujeme se na aperiodické struktury spojené se symbolickými dynamickými systémy, s nestandardními numeračními systémy a matematickými modely pro nekrystalografické látky s uspořádáním na dálku. Tyto struktury jsou většinou kódovány nekonečnými slovy nad konečnou abecedou. Zaměříme se především na tyto otázky:vlastnosti r-iet slov, tj. nekonečných slov přidružených k výměně r intervalů (invariance na substituci, vlastnosti morfizmů zachovávajících r-iet slova, limity r-iet slov, enumerace faktorů)nestandardní numerační systémy (asymptotické chování beta-celých čísel, nejednoznačnost reprezentace celých čísel v rekurentně zadaných systémech, palindromická čísla)faktorová komplexita „cut-and-project“ posloupností vznikajících projekcí vícerozměrných mřížek. Projekt je založen na dlouhodobé spolupráci řešitelů s Université Paris 7, IML Marseille a CRM Montreal. Mezi cíle patří i internacionalizace výchovy studentů doktorského a magisterského studia, kteří jsou do projektu zapojeni.

| - The presented results correspond to the aims stated in the original project. A brief characterization of obtained results can be found in the final card. The outcome of the project contains 22 published and 7 accepted papers in journals having impact factor. Another outcome of the project lies in successful incorporation of students into the research team. (en)
- Prezentované výsledky odpovídají původnímu projektu. Stručná charakteristika získaných výsledků je popsána v závěrečné kartě projektu. Výstupem projektu je 22 publikovaných a 7 přijatých článků v časopisech s impaktním faktorem. Další výsledek spočívá v úspěšném zařazení studentů do výzkumného týmu. (cs)
