| Description
| - Project aims at theoretical and experimental investigation of the glass bearing structures. The basic questions of design are reliability and economy of glass structures. This problem is not solved systematically either in this country, or in the European countries. Knowledge's are limited without rules for design of glass elements and their connections. Project is divided to two parts. The main aim of the first one will be development of knowledge in the field of theory, limit states, actual effect and mechanism of failure; the impact of support conditions, load characteristics and construction solution on the load-bearing capacity. The research will be based on the experimental part as well as the theoretical study with verification using finite element model. The second part will be aimed to investigation of bolted connection between the glass components or with the supporting structures. - Projekt je zaměřen na experimentální a teoretický výzkum nosných konstrukcí ze skla. Základními otázkami při navrhování je spolehlivost a hospodárnost návrhu. Problematika není u nás ani v jiných evropských státech systematicky řešena, pro praxi nejsou kdispozici podklady a směrnice k dimenzování nosných prvků a jejich přípojů. Projekt je rozdělen do dvou tématických okruhů. První okruh se bude věnovat problematice mezních stavů a mechanismu porušování a působení nosných prvků při zatížení. Cílem je formulace mezních stavů na základě teoretické analýzy s využitím experimentů. Experimenty budou vycházet ze zatěžovacích zkoušek skleněných dílců s různou technologií výroby, s uvážením vlivu imperfekcí a okrajových podmínek v závislosti na uložení. K modelování bude použita metoda konečných prvků. Druhý okruh se plánuje na výzkum chování spojů, ať už mezi jednotlivými skleněnými díly nebo při styku s nosnou konstrukcí.
