Příprava speciálních optických vláken pro chemickou detekci uhlovodíků ve vodě.
Fiber-optic structures suitable for the detection of hydrocarbons and based on PCS fibers and IGI fibers coated with layers of dimethylpolysiloxane are shown. Both types of fibers were axially excited by means of standard multimode fibers. The sensing part of the fibers consisting of a polymer layer with a thickness of about 10 .mu.m was brought into contact with vapours of toluene and toluene dissolved in water. The concentration of 90 ppm of toluene in water was detected. (en)
