Description
| - A simplified microkinetic model for CO oxidation in catalytic monolith used as the converter of automobile exhaust gases has been developed. The study of complex dynamics of this system includes the construction of parametric dependences of stationary and periodic solutions and estimation of their stability as well as location of bifurcation points, where qualitative changes of dynamic behaviour occur. Nonlinear phenomena in the converter operation found in the converter simulations include the existence of multiplicity of stable steady states and the coexistence of stable oscillations and stable steady states. Continuation methods and bifurcation analysis with the continuation software package CONT have been employed in the parametric study of the system.

- Byl vytvořen zjednodušený model oxidace CO v katalytickém monolitu, který je používán pro konverzi výfukových plynů z aut. Studium složité dynamiky tohoto systému zahrnuje hledání závislostí parametrů stacionárního a periodického řešení a odhad jejich stability podle umístění bifurkačních bodů, které kvalitativně popisují nastalé změny dynamiky. Byly nalezeny vícenásobné stabilní ustálené stavy a stabilní ustálený stav společně s periodickým řešením. Pro studium tohoto systému byly použity kontinuační metody a metody bifurkační analýzy obsažené v programovém balíku CONT. (cs)
