Description
| - A mixed culture enriched from aged TNT-contaminated soil from Synthesia Company, (Pardubice, Czech Rep.) was used to study biodegradation of nitroaromatics (NT's) in aqueous solution under aerobic conditions at 26 °C. The study was conducted in shake flasks containing basal salt medium. The medium was either supplemeted with glycerol or with sodium succinate as primary carbon sources. In one set of experiments, no carbon source other than NT's, was added and nitrate was eliminated in order to force the cells to utilize NT's as nitrogen source as well.

- Směsná populace získaná z dlouhodobě kontaminované půdy v podniku Synthesia a.s. Pardubice byla použita pro studium degradadace nitroaromátů. Pokusy byly prováděny v 500 mL Erlenmayerových baňkách na laboratorních třepačkách při 26 °C. 3-NT byl také otestován jako jediný zdroj C, N a energie. Nárůst buněk byl měřen optickou densitou při 400 nm. Největší nárůst byl zaznamenán v mediu s glycerolem a sukcinátem během druhého dne kultivace. Ve všech případech byly nitroaromáty degradovány během deseti dnů kultivace. (cs)
