Description	The aim of the work was to evaluate the effect of the separate, used as the litter, on the selected indicators of health condition of stabled dairy cows of the Holstein breed. The observation was done in one cattle breedint of the Holstein breed in the dairy cow category in 2006-2009. In the qears of observation the incidence of the following health disorders was monitored: the problem of leg disorders. In 2006 there were 254 (49 %; 510 total dairy cows) cases of leg disorders. In 2007 there were 800 227 (38 %; 584 total dairy cows) cases of leg disorders. In 2008 there was a significant increase of the incidence of monitored health problems as follows: 633 (108 %; 586 total dairy cows) cases of leg disorders. In the last year of monitoring there were 588 (97 %; 604 total dairy cows) cases of leg disorders.
