Description
| - Nanotechnologies open up possibilities in many branches of human activities and represent utilization of special system - nanoparticles. Nanoparticles are usually defined as submicronic colloidal systems in size of 1 – 1000 nm that are made of polymers, and, according to the used preparation process, nanospheres, or nanocapsules can be obtained. One of the most important applications of nanoparticles is especially their therapeutical application in medicine. Nanomedicine represents one of the most promising applications of nanoparticles and is defined as development and application of nanoscale tools, nanoparticles, for monitoring of health care, for delivery of drugs and curing various diseases as well as repairing of damaged tissues. These facts mean that nanotechnologies and their intensive development will be unavoidable for diagnose, treat and follow-up care in many diseases, especially cardiovascular, tumour and infectious diseases and diabetes.
