  • Technologie založené na netermálních typech plazmatických výbojů vykazují vysokou schopnost rozkladu těkavých organických látek v porovnání s klasickými technikami. Tato práce byla zaměřena na aplikaci nového typu %22pin to plate%22 DC atmosférického výboje v kombinaci s katalyzační jednotkou na rozklad toluenu. Reaktor sestával z 5 katod ve tvaru jehly a 5 plošných anod ve tvaru malých kráterů, vzdálenost elektrod 12,7 mm. Výboj byl generován při napětí do 20 kV, proud do 3 mA. Katalyzátor Cu-Mn/Al2O3 byl zahříván až k 300 stupnu celsia. Vstupní koncentrace toluenu byla pro experimenty nastavena na 45 ppm. Nejvyšší účinnost celého procesu 96 % (teplota 300 stupnu celsia, napětí 17,9 kV, proud 2,5 mA). Kombinací výboje a katalizační jednotky došlo k výraznému zefektivění celého rozkladného procesu. Pokusili jsme se také vysvětlit některé plazmochemické procesy, například vliv množství generovaného ozónu na finální koncentraci to (cs)

Our plasma reactor closed in the discharge chamber consists of a rectangular shaped duct, in which five pins and a plate with spherical craters are positioned. The inter-electrode distance is 12,7 mm. The discharge was initiated at high voltage up to 20 kV and applied current up to 3 mA. estruction. A Cu-Mn/Al2O3 thermal catalyst (operated temperatures up to 300 celsius) is placed in series with a discharge chamber. In this study, inlet concentration range of toluene was stable at 45 ppm, no influence of the toluene admixture was observed on the thresholdcurrents.
